3. 904L Forge Fittings Corrosion Resistance
904L gives good resistance to both organic and inorganic acids.The
addition of copper in 904L grade gives excellent corrosion
resistance against nickel stainless steels, to sulphuric,
phosphoric, acetic acids, hydrochloric acids, etc. It also gives a
high resistance to pitting in chloride solutions, an excellent
resistance to both crevice and stress corrosion cracking.The 904L
is much better than austenitic stainless steels due to the higher
alloying of nickel and molybdenum.The high percentage of chromium
content in 904L gives and maintains a passive film which protects
the material in many corrosive environments.
4. 904L Forge Fittings Cold Forming
Cold forming 904L can be done easily. The composition of molybdenum
and nitrogen implies more powerful processing equipment may be
needed.Most of the time more common methods like cooling with air
or water etc are used.
5. 904L Forge Fittings Hot Forming
Hot and heat forming should be done after uniform heating.Complete
annealing should be done before any hot forming in order to retain
maximum ductility and corrosion resistance property. It is very
important that the whole process should be done above 1100°C.
6. 904L Forge Fittings Machining
The machining of 904L requires proper care to achieve the expected
result. The cutting speed should be slow and proper care should be
taken while doing so.
7. 904L Forge Fittings Welding
The 904L material should be allowed to cool in between, preferably
to below 150°C temperatures. To obtain good welding properties
welded condition, filler material shall be used.Because of high
thermal expansion, welding must be carefully planned in advance to
ensure that distortion of the welded joint can be kept under
control.
8. 904L Forge Fittings Heat Treatment
The heat treatment should be accompanied by cooling in water or air
immediately. This treatment should be applied for both solution
annealing and stress relieving from the 904L material.

13. Marking
We mark all our products with entire details which are connected to
the test certificates we provide.
In cases of orders like cut piece of pipes, sheets or round bars,
the marking is shifted from the product from which it is slit. In
these situations, we offer letter confirming the marking transfer
and picture of the product from which it is cut.
14. Dispatching Time
- In a situation, the stock is not ready, it depends on the size,
quantity and grade for manufacturing.
- We make sure that we provide at delivery time for everybody in
India and most of the time our production time is the minimal.
- We have secured with reliable logistic partners in India, which can
carry out any kind of shipment activities and also without delay.
- If the items are ready for use in stock, we take 2 days from the
date of receipt of advance payment to discharge the shipment and
send it to port.
